Interfaces and Infrastructure for Mobile Multimedia Applications was funded as part of the EPSRC MNA (Multimedia and Networks Applications) programme and ran between July 1998 and October 2001.

Our aim has been to investigate the user interface requirements of mobile applications, especially those concerning collaborative or media intensive interaction and based on those requirements to develop novel infrastructures and applications frameworks.

This began as a joint project between the Computing Department at Lancaster University (GR/L64157) and the School of Computing at Staffordshire University (GR/L64140), but, following the move of Alan Dix to Lancaster in January 2000, was completed at Lancaster.
